A Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor is an electronic sensor that detects the presence and movement of people or objects by sensing changes in infrared (IR) radiation emitted from warm bodies. The sensor does not emit any energy itself; instead, it passively monitors infrared radiation in its field of view.
