MCP2515

The MCP2515 is a standalone CAN (Controller Area Network) controller from Microchip Technology. It allows microcontrollers that do not have a built-in CAN peripheral (such as many Arduino boards) to communicate over a CAN bus via an SPI interface.

• Supports CAN 2.0A (11-bit ID) and CAN 2.0B (29-bit ID)
• CAN bus speeds up to 1 Mbps
• SPI interface up to 10 MHz
• 3 transmit buffers
• 2 receive buffers
• 6 acceptance filters and 2 masks for filtering CAN messages
• Interrupt output (INT) for efficient message reception
