Description
The MCP2515 is a standalone CAN (Controller Area Network) controller from Microchip Technology. It allows microcontrollers that do not have a built-in CAN peripheral (such as many Arduino boards) to communicate over a CAN bus via an SPI interface.
- Supports CAN 2.0A (11-bit ID) and CAN 2.0B (29-bit ID)
- CAN bus speeds up to 1 Mbps
- SPI interface up to 10 MHz
- 3 transmit buffers
- 2 receive buffers
