The AD8232 ECG Electrode Module is a compact, low-power analog front-end module designed to measure the electrical activity of the human heart (Electrocardiogram - ECG). Built around the Analog Devices AD8232 integrated circuit, it amplifies, filters, and conditions weak biopotential signals from the body, making them suitable for direct acquisition by microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and other development boards.

The module uses three disposable ECG electrodes connected to the Right Arm (RA), Left Arm (LA), and Right Leg (RL) to capture a single-lead ECG signal. It also features lead-off detection outputs that notify the microcontroller if an electrode becomes disconnected, improving measurement reliability.
