The 100K Ohm Trimpot is a compact adjustable resistor used for fine-tuning resistance levels in electronic circuits. Also known as a 100KΩ preset potentiometer, trimmer potentiometer, or variable resistor, it allows the resistance to be manually adjusted using a small screwdriver.

With a maximum resistance of approximately 100K Ohm (100,000Ω), this trimpot is suitable for applications where circuit parameters need to be calibrated or adjusted during installation, testing, prototyping, or servicing.

A trimpot normally contains three terminals: two terminals connected across the resistive element and a center terminal called the wiper. Rotating the adjustment screw changes the wiper position and therefore changes the resistance between the terminals. Depending on the circuit, it can be used as either an adjustable voltage divider or a variable resistance.

The compact through-hole construction makes it suitable for mounting on PCBs, general-purpose boards, perfboards, prototype circuits, and DIY electronics projects. It is commonly used in sensor calibration, amplifier adjustment, timer circuits, oscillator circuits, power supplies, voltage regulators, LED circuits, Arduino projects, robotics, and other electronic control applications.

The 100K trimmer potentiometer is especially useful where frequent user adjustment is not required. Once the required resistance or voltage level has been set, the component can normally remain at that position for long-term circuit operation.
